That’s why Simple Mills is helping to advance regenerative agriculture, working with suppliers and farmers to adopt practices like extended crop rotations, cover cropping, and organic amendments that build healthy soil and ultimately, heal the land.”

Several companies are innovating and encouraging models that support this kind of multi-stakeholder, holistic farming philosophy. For instance, reNature is working with farmers, corporations, and venture capitalists to focus on the benefits of regenerative agroforestry and joined forces with giants like Nestle and Lush Cosmetics to develop models that support this practice in the supply chain.
Recently and in a world-first, following U.S. president Joe Biden’s announcement that plans are underway to financially support farmers that use practices that trap carbon, a regenerative farmer earned US$115,000 as part of a new private market of carbon credits that are based on this kind of agriculture.
