What a great time to live in Hong Kong with so many wonderful new healthy companies launching every day! In fact, there are now so many new organic fruit and vegetable delivery services, we thought it was time for round two of our previous post: HK’s Top Organic Fruit & Veg Delivery. In our roundup below, we showcase locally farmed produce platforms and farm-direct businesses that, most of which have the benefit of being very budget-friendly. For the lazy amongst us, all of the options below can be ordered from the comfort of your couch (what is the humidity level again?), so start browsing and stock up on delicious produce for the week.
Evergreens Republic
Green Queen Loves: Certified USDA Organic, Evergreens Republic grows their produce using a state-of-the-art aquaponics system in their greenhouses in Lau Fau Shan. They offer a la carte produce including a large range of specialty and difficult-to-find leafy greens and herbs and seven different types of tomatoes. They also offer three different size cost-effective subscription boxes which are delivered weekly and are flexible- you can choose between Western produce, local produce, or a mix of both. Delivery takes place Tuesday to Saturday and orders placed before 1 pm can be eligible for next day delivery. Delivery is available everywhere in Hong Kong but times may vary, and delivery is free for orders over HKD 350.

FreshHK
July 2016 Update: Fresh HK is no longer operational.
Green Queen Loves: FreshHK works directly with certified organic Hong Kong fruit and vegetable farmers to offer a moderate selection that changes seasonally and is a mix of local and Western produce. They also stock a selection of fruits, nuts and herbs that are not local but are certified organic. Pricing varies but in general, they are competitive. Delivery is free for orders over HKD 250 and same day delivery is offered on Hong Kong Island for orders placed before 11 am. Delivery is available to all of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon and select areas of the New Territories.

Magic Season Organics
Green Queen Loves: Growing everything on their China certified organic farm in Qingyuan, China, Magic Season Organics offers a rotating selection of seasonal vegetables with their offerings leaning towards local varieties and leafy greens. They offer both subscriptions boxes as well as individual vegetables for order, and prices are very competitive. Their website include a list of what’s available but you place your order via email and they accept credit cards, paypal or COD. Delivery is every Tuesday and is free for orders over HKD 150.

OrganNet Mall
Green Queen Loves: OrganNet Mall works directly with eight HK-ORC certified organic local farms, which means they offer a very wide range of seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs including both local and Western varieties. Produce is selected individually and pricing is set by each individual farm which leads to very competitive pricing. There is a 10% service charge as well as an additional 5% for paying with either cash or a credit card- bank transfer is free. Delivery, which is free, is available throughout Hong Kong and deliveries take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Special Mention – Johnny’s Organic Farm
March 2017 Update: Johnny’s Organic Farm is on hiatus at the moment so no orders are being taken.
Green Queen Loves: Looking to bring your next dinner party, or any meal really, to the next level? Johnny’s Organic Farm offers HKORC certified organic edible flowers (think nasturtium, marigold and pineapple sage) and , microgreens, herbs (including hard to find tarragon and wood sorrel) and even zucchini flowers. You can find the latest offerings on their Facebook page- there is no set list, so you have to see what’s available. Johnny’s Organic Farm does not have a website but you can order via Facebook, Whatsapp or phone and payment is COD. The delivery minimum is HKD 300 and delivery is available at or near MTR stations – Johnny usually comes in person.
