In her final Green Queen Post, uber nutritonist Karin Reiter of Nutritious & Delicious shares these refreshing, flavorful & cleansing raw cold pressed juice recipes. Make sure to choose the freshest produce, soak it thoroughly (scrub the skins with a brush) and ideally use a hydraulic juice press to get the most nutritious bang for your buck. Easy alternative: save the fiber and throw everything in the blender! Any which way works.
Liver Cleanser
* Karin’s note: my ultimate detoxification recipe.
- 6 carrots
- 1 green apple
- 1 beetroot
- 1/2 lemon or 1 small lime
- small slice of ginger
Tropical Cyclone
* Karin’s note: the mangos add their fleshy sweetness to counteract the bitterness of the stems.
- 2 mangos
- 2 cups of spinach or kale stems
- 1 kiwi
- 1/2 lime
- 5-6 fresh mint leaves
Minty Watermelon
* Karin’s note: love this combination! So refreshing and clean-tasting.
- 2 cups of watermelon
- 1/2 cucumber
- 5-6 mint leaves
- 1/2 lemon or 1 small lime
Green Love
* Karin’s note: really heavy on the chlorophyll! Great for the more serious green juicers amongst us.
- 2 sticks of celery
- ½ medium cucumber
- handful of spinach
- 1 tbsp of vital greens mixed in a little filtered water
- 1 slice of lime
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
Energizer
* Karin’s note: the freshest juice on earth and my favorite way to start my morning.
- ¼ small pineapple
- 1 stick celery
- 1/2 a cucumber
- 1 tbsp of vital greens mixed in a little filtered water
- Small piece of lime (peeled)
- 1 apple
- Handful of mint leaves
