Hong Kong’s plant-based grocery and café chain Green Common has just launched brand new concept Future Bar at Tsim Sha Tsui’s eco cultural destination K11 Musea. With a mission to offer a space for family bonding, Future Bar will showcase new kid-friendly plant-based menu items alongside Green Common’s iconic favourites. This marks another step forward in the accelerating market for vegan and vegetarian food and healthy living in Hong Kong and Asia.
Green Common has just announced the launch of Future Bar by Green Common, the latest addition to the plant-based chain’s expanding locations. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui’s K11 Musea mall, the Future Bar will be oriented around fostering parent-child experiences with their kid-friendly vegan menu. The newest offering is the Superkid Set (HK$59 – 69), which will include an Oatly oat milk drink and a mini muffin with the choice of Alpha Foods’ “chicken” nuggets and Omnipork meatballs or with fries, or the mini pizza – all made from only plant ingredients.
There will be a promotion on certain menu items, where diners can get a limited discount on the Beyond Breakfast Sausage and Happy Nuggets, and receive a cash coupon to spend at DAMA, K11’s latest vegan-friendly soft-serve ice cream shop.
In addition to a café, Future Bar, like other Green Common locations, will be a one-stop store for plant-based shopping with its extensive selection of vegan ingredients, superfoods, snacks and range of plant-based meat alternatives.
Green Common and its parent group, Green Monday, have experienced rapid expansion in recent months across Hong Kong and Asia. Not only have they collaborated with major local chains such as Fairwood and Tsui Wah to offer plant-based twists on Cantonese favourites at affordable prices, the social enterprise has launched across the region into Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.
With the overall growth of the plant-based and wellbeing trend in Asia-Pacific, as well as the added pressure on the Asian meat industry due to the African swine flu epidemic, which has resulted in significant pork meat shortage more specifically, the group is planning to introduce their vegan concept to China any day now and no doubt, they are poised for great success.
Future Bar by Green Common, Shop B201-14, Basement 2, K11 Musea, Victoria Dockside, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Open daily: 11.00am – 10.00pm.
