MA… And The Seeds Of Life: Central’s hottest new dining destination is dishing up a vegan and gluten-free Christmas set menu from December 15^th, with pre-booking required for lunch, which costs HK$688. Top tip: leave space for a vegan cheese board. Thank us later. PS – MA also has a gorgeous gift hamper of vegan fermented nut cheeses with rpo, which we personally would love to receive!

Miss Lee: Enjoy a traditional Chinese winter twist on your festive feast with Miss Lee’s four-course lunch and seven-course dinner menus (HK$368 and HK$598, respectively), featuring delicious braised winter melon, warming claypot rice and moreish roasted yam fries with truffle vegan mayo.

The Globe: Pie-and-pint purveyors The Globe will be dishing up a delish artichoke and hazelnut roast set menu for HK$495 including starter, all the sides and a vegan drunk plum crumble for dessert. Just let them know you are vegan when ordering… and maybe wear stretchy pants.

Pop Vegan: This dairy-, egg-, meat- and allium-free vegan restaurant always delivers the goods at Christmas, and this year’s menu includes warming celeriac soup, comforting pan-fried pumpkin risotto cake and an indulgent white chocolate and berry pudding. Priced at a very reasonable HK$999 for two, pre-booking and a deposit is required.

Kind Kitchen: Green Common’s in-house restaurant will be dishing up a mouth-watering plant-based two or four-course menu (HK$438 or HK$838) that include a choice of Beyond Beef steak with mixed veg and a vegan red wine sauce, Christmas “turkey” and a crab-less garlic and olive oil spaghetti.

Bedu: Bedu’s mouth-watering vegan Christmas mezze is priced at HK$420 and includes a generous selection of hummus, flatbreads, pickles, tabouli, salads, grilled veggies and a tempting pineapple mille-feuille with dairy-free caramel. Available for pre-order 48 hours in advance throughout December with a HK$150 deposit.

Uma Nota: Bedu’s sister restaurant will be serving Brazilian-Japanese dishes such as Wakame ceviche with vegan Nikkei tiger milk, mushroom and eggplant Coxinhas (croquettes) with homemade chilli sauce, roasted cauliflower skewers with vegan herb mayo, along with a fresh selection of salads and delicious dessert all throughout December too. Also priced at HK$420 with 48-hour advance order and a HK$150 deposit required.

Oolaa: comfort cafe Oolaa has a special Christmas menu on offer and it includes a vegan meatloaf main served with roast potatoes, Brussel sprouts, parsnips and gravy. The menu includes a spicy roasted butternut squash soup as a starter and a vegan dessert too, so herbivores can go home happy and stuffed. All 3 Oolaa locations (Soho, Wan Chai, Tung Chung) will serve the menu from December 1-25 for lunch and dinner. Booking strongly recommended and the menus start at HK$600 per person including 2 hours of free flow drinks.

Ali Oli: Order à la carte specifying that you require vegan options to enjoy an antipasto platter with beetroot hummus, crudités and pita, a hearty bean and nut roast with cranberry and port sauce and a range of veg sides, and a very merry mulled wine kit for a vegan tipple or two. A vegetarian set is also available for any lacto-ovo friends.

Green Common: For a traditional, but cruelty-free take on your C-Day dinner, head to Green Common where a vegan Christmas “turkey” with all the trimmings awaits. The dairy- , gluten-, egg-, soy and peanut-free set also comes with an appetiser platter of delish nibbles and a rich vegan chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Order at least 48 hours ahead.

Nood Food: The centrepiece of Nood’s “Vestive” vegan set is the 2lb Impossible meatless loaf with new potatoes, ginger-glazed carrots, brussels sprouts and cranberry compote, 5lbs of spaghetti with cashew ricotta, zucchini and olives and a zesty kale salad with green apple and walnuts. Optional add-ons include cold-pressed juices and a vegan banana loaf cake for dessert.

MA… And The Seeds Of Life: If you prefer to dine chez vous, then Chef Tina has you sorted with a fully vegan stuffed butternut squash with homemade stuffing (HK$680, feeds 6 people), available now with delivery starting week of December 20th, WhatApp +852 6751 7882 to order.

14 South Lane: This charming Shek Tong Sui cafe is offering a selection of herbivore-friendly family-style festive dishes including whole roasted cauliflower, a mezze platter (think Impossible Foods shikh hebabs and spinach pea falafel) , mushroom conghlicelli with almond kale pesto and beets borani toast canapes, with lots of vegan sides too. Available throughout December, order three days in advance via WhatsApp at +852 5744 8390.

The Cakery: Indulge those sweet cravings over at The Cakery, where gluten-free, vegan, organic or keto Christmas cupcakes (HK$45-48) have all made to Santa’s nice list. Conspiracy Chocolate: What could be better than a handcrafted vegan chocolate paired with a refreshing cup of herbal tea? Dairy-free bean-to-bar brand Conspiracy Chocolate have tea-med (!) up with French herbal tea brand Tisarôm to create a tasty advent calendar (HK$375) packed with celebratory goodies to enjoy throughout advent.

Nuteese: What’s Christmas without a cheese board? Happily, Nuteese has found a way to satisfy your cravings with its Christmas Cheeze box. Each box contains six distinctly different cheezes – Hot N’ Smokey, Truffle Hunter, Somerset Noble, Tuscan Sun, Coeur de Figues and Merry Cranberry. HK$695; order by December 10^th.

Tai Tai Pie Pies: Tai Tai Pie Pies have not one, but two flavour-packed vegan pie treats that are great for the festive season. The Impossible meat Aussie pie (HK$300) is packed with meatless mince and topped with a delicious pastry crust, while the vegan sausage rolls (HK$198 for six) use Ominpork mixed with sage for an authentic flavour.  

Food for Life: Pana Chocolates and sustainable, ethical jeweller Niin have joined forces to create a “Chocolates & Jewellery For A Cause” range. Priced at HK$640, this special edition range donates 10% of profits from its raw vegan chocolate and bracelet sets to WWF, highlighting issues such as climate change, ocean pollution and coral bleaching.
