Catherine Zeta-Jones has recently launched a new line of vegan shoes in collaboration with British footwear brand Butterfly Twists. The Oscar-winning actress’ collection of ballet pumps come in four silhouettes, and are all made with vegan leather, memory foam and water-resistant materials. With her latest project, Zeta-Jones joins the growing line of celebrities who are now introducing plant-based, cruelty-free and vegan products, from beauty to nutrition.
The new limited-edition collection launched in partnership with the Butterfly Twist features four designs, which come in different colours and patterns. Handmade with vegan leather, these cruelty-free kicks are designed to be “stylish without sacrificing style,” said Zeta-Jones.
“Vegan materials are so advanced and luxurious now, it is difficult to tell the difference between real leather and vegan leather. I know it’s an important consideration for many women.”
Speaking about the launch, co-founders of the brand Emmanuel Eribo & Philippe Homsy said: “We are delighted she has chosen to curate an exclusive collection of vegan ballet flats with Butterfly Twists. The Casa Zeta Jones is our latest high profile collaboration raising the bar for stylish and comfortable vegan shoes.”
Butterfly Twists have been sourcing vegan materials since 2019, and has recently begun to incorporate recovered ocean plastics and recycled cardboard in their products whenever possible. The new flats are available online on Butterfly Twists’ website, retailing between US$74 to US$94.

With this latest launch, Zeta-Jones joins a fast-growing group of celebrities who are hopping on the vegan bandwagon with product offerings that are cruelty-free and plant-based.
Recently, Selena Gomez debuted her new brand Rare Beauty, a vegan-friendly makeup line that is cruelty-free, embraces inclusivity and donates a portion of its profits to organisations addressing gaps in mental health. Meanwhile, Alicia Keys will introduce her own vegan beauty collection, which is created in partnership with e.l.f cosmetics and will launch early next year.
Beyond beauty, celebrities are also making the foray into vegan-friendly F&B products too. While Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power has created a new vegan wine brand, Kate Hudson has developed a range of plant-based nutrition supplements.
