Hong Kong Funky Dance Centre
Originally founded by Kelley Lin, who is credited with bringing Funky Dance to Hong Kong in the 90s, the Hong Kong Funky Dance Centre is now a multi-studio affair with large spaces in Wan Chai, Jordan and Kwun Tong. They offer a dizzying array of dance classes including contemporary ballet, funk, hip hop, heels, K-Pop, jazz, Samba, Rumba, Latino funky and even Tai Chi dance. One off classes are HKD 250 with lower-priced packages available. There are countless class choices every day of the week, just check their schedule: Wan Chai, Jordan and Kwun Tong .

Hong Kong Swings
Everybody loves a good swing sesh! With Hong Kong Swings, you can learn to Lindy Hop like a pro. Classes are offered Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, find the schedule here. Hong Kong Swings is not a physical studio per se, classes are offered in different locales around Hong Kong island. Drop-in classes start at HKD 200 though be warned: availability is limited. Bonus: they hold free classes on some Mondays and Wednesdays. In addition to classes, there are workshops as well as social events to help you hone your swinging skills.

Neverland Dance
Started by the Hong Kong master dancer and choreographer Shing Mak, Neverland Dance has a focus on pop dance, and pop dance culture. They have two locations: a cozy Sai Ying Pun studio and a large professional space in Kwun Tong. Classes are on offer on most days of the week and include Jazz Funk, K-Pop, Waacking, Hip Hop, Urban and House, with a few Salsa and Bootcamps sessions thrown in to the mix. Oasis Dance Centre
Looking for a dance class that’s a little bit different? At Oasis Dance Centre you can take classes in belly dancing, Hawaiian Tahitian dance, modern Egyptian dance, Flamenco and Latin-belly-fusion dancing, not to mention an open drum circle session. Russ Dance Factory
Looking to get your groove on? Russ Dance Factory (RDF) offers a variety of classes including funk, body groove, K-pop, hip hop, jazz, heels and latin dance classes as well as other non-dance workout options like bootcamp and yoga. All of these are taught in their huge 7, 000 sq.ft. space in the heart of Causeway Bay, which showcases three separate studios! Studiodanz
Well established on the Hong Kong dance scene and oozing with attitude, Studiodanz actually has two large studios, one on the island and one in Kowloon, and both offer hip hop, jazz, funk, urban, tap and even break dancing in both group and private class settings. If you want to go for gold, Studiodanz has six-month ‘Showbiz Project’ program that focuses on turning you into a professional dancer.

DanceMos
Founded 11 years ago, DanceMos is a well-established and respected salsa and bachata dance school in the community. Run by a professionally trained female dancer who has previously competed in international salsa competitions, the school is the best place to go for the best lessons. In addition, as a female-run school, all classes aim to introduce salsa as an art and health.
